Background
Daryeel Women Organization (DAWO) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization which was established by a group of professional women based in Bosaso-the biggest coastal town of Puntland in the year of 1998.

Mandate, Vision, Mission and Core Values
Since its inception, DAWO has through its collaboration with international experts benefited immensely from capacity building initiatives that in turn enabled it to extend resource management training to national and regional organizations. DAWO worked with several international partners including UN and International Agencies in various sectors i.e Literacy Program, Skill training Natural resource management, Livelihood, Water harvesting, psychosocial and humanitarian responses in rural, Urban and IDPS in collaboration with the relevant government authority per respective sector.
Mandate
Prevention of Human rights and GBV. Livelihood and social services inclusivity (water, Agriculture and infrastructures). Emergency and relief interventions Capacity building and Research Advocacy on pastoralist and women rights including marginalized people. To implement towards the mandate, the following vision, mission and strategic objective will guide the organization.
Mission
The mission demonstrates how DAWO plans to realize it vision as well as lay the basics to ensure that the stated objectives can be implemented and achieve the desired conditions. The following strategic direction and objects which are guided by the mission will ensure that the mission is achieved as well as the program objectives and goals. To realize and reach mission and vision of the DAWO, the organization will have the following strategic objectives:
Vision
DAWO is to be the lead and direct serve as a catalyst community stand itself sustainable have platform to solve their problem through sharing concerns and respecting human right and inclusivity. This vision describes DAWO aspiration and dream that gives the members their strength and desire to do extremely well. DAWO’s vision provides the members with the guidance, stimulates and motivates them to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.
